It takes courage and integrity to be:

brave, optimistic, proactive

but also:

humble, patient, resilient

Conversely,

if you are being a weak,
narcissistic coward you may act with:

boastful chest-thumping, self-praise,
'morally justified' violence, reputation damage,

but also:

timid fake respect or compassion, victim points hunting.

When we fail to act
we often convince ourselves
we are being considerate, kind, patient.

When we fail to restrain ourselves
we claim righteous anger, brave conviction.
